During the operation against Iran, Israel may have eliminated the commander of that country's army, Mohammad Bagheri, and high-ranking Iranian nuclear officials.

List of Killed Iranian Officials

• Major General Hossein Salami, head of all units;
• Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces;
• Major General Golam-Ali Rashid, commander of the 'Khatam al-Anbia' IRGC Central Command;
• Former head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization Fereydoun Abbasi-Davani, nuclear physicist;
• President of Azad University Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, expert in laser isotope separation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the airstrikes on Iran 'very successful'. He noted that the strikes targeted senior command, nuclear scientists, and nuclear sites. Netanyahu also warned of the need to prepare for prolonged combat operations, stating that 'there are no such things as easy wars.'

After the attack on Israel on the night of June 13, Iran launched a counterattack by releasing 100 Shahed kamikaze drones.
