In the USA, points for collecting biometric data have opened, allowing for the scanning of the iris with the aim of providing users with a unique digital identifier. This information has been reported by the media.

Using the collected data, a unique code called IrisCode is created. After successful identification, users are awarded cryptocurrency World (WLD) as an incentive. This World ID can then be used to log into various online platforms such as Minecraft, Reddit, Telegram, Shopify, and Discord.

The identification centers are located in Austin, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Nashville, Miami, and San Francisco. The company also plans to launch a World Visa card in the summer, which will be available only to identified users. Additionally, Tinder, a popular online dating service, will conduct a pilot project using the World ID for verifying users' age.

The startup Tools for Humanity developed the World project and attracted over $140 million in investments, allowing it to reach a valuation of $1 billion in 2021. Currently, the World network has 26 million registered users from Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific region, of which 12 million have undergone biometric verification. Initially, the startup aimed to attract 1 billion users by 2023, but its development is progressing at a slower pace than expected.

It was previously announced that OpenAI will release five new artificial intelligence models that will expand the capabilities of technologies and find applications in various fields of life. Among them are GPT-4.1 and simplified versions 4.1 nano and 4.1 mini.
