Harris and Walz Hold First Joint Campaign Event in Philadelphia.


U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and her chosen running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, held their first joint campaign rally in Philadelphia. This information is reported by Reuters.
During his speech, Walz recalled being born in a small town in Nebraska, 24 years of service in the National Guard, and working as a social studies teacher in high school and a football coach.
It was my students who pushed me to run. They saw in me what I hoped to impart to them: dedication to the common good, belief that one person can make a difference.
Walz addressed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his vice-presidential candidate Senator J.D. Vance, emphasizing that only he fits the traditional role of vice president.
He breaks our laws, sows chaos and division. That is not to mention his unsatisfactory performance as president. He is failing to address the COVID crisis, he has wrecked our economy, and that is not to mention the rise in violent crimes under his leadership. And that’s not even considering his crimes.
Walz also condemned Republicans for restricting women's reproductive rights, an issue that arose after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the constitutional right to abortion in 2022.
