Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Olena began an official visit to Finland on March 18, 2025. The president himself announced this on social media.

During the visit, meetings are scheduled with Finnish President Alexander Stubb and his wife Suzanne, Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-aho, parliamentarians, as well as with Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, government officials, and representatives of defense companies.

'Together with my wife, we are making an official visit to our friendly ally country - Finland,' Zelensky wrote.

The main topics of the negotiations will be defense support, investments in Ukrainian arms production, and Ukraine's European integration. Special attention will be paid to the Finnish experience in creating a civil protection system and building shelters.

Zelensky also emphasized the importance of strengthening sanctions against Russia and joint efforts for a 'decent conclusion of the war.' 'Europe must be at the negotiating table, and everything related to Europe's security must be decided together with Europe,' the President of Ukraine noted.

First Lady Olena Zelenska's program includes educational cooperation. In particular, discussions are planned on expanding the Coalition of Ukrainian Studies, ensuring the safety of the educational space, equipping school shelters, and sharing experiences regarding the school feeding system. In addition, the First Lady will meet with business leaders, philanthropists, and representatives of the cultural community of Finland.
