Dovbyk and Tsyhankov prevented Russian from joining top league.

Ukrainian footballers Artem Dovbyk and Viktor Tsyhankov hindered the transfer of Russian player Konstantin Tyukavin to the Spanish club «Girona», as reported by Dzerkalo Tyzhnia.
According to Tyukavin's agent Alexei Safonov, the club from Spain was interested in the 22-year-old player, but Artem Dovbyk and Viktor Tsyhankov opposed this transfer. As a result of this decision, the Catalan club was unable to sign Tyukavin.
They were interested in Kostya, but at that Time, both Dovbyk and Tsyhankov were still in the team. Therefore, Girona was afraid to sign Kostya. Being interested – does not mean to buy», - said Alexei Safonov.
Recall that the 26-year-old Viktor Tsyhankov has been playing for «Girona» since January 2023 and is one of the key players of the team.
The 27-year-old Dovbyk played for «Girona» from 2023 to 2024 and became the top scorer of the last season of the Spanish championship. This summer, Artem moved to the Italian club «Roma», where he has already scored his first goal in the Europa League for his new team.
