China is losing opportunities to maintain economic balance
According to the expert of the Ukrainian Association of Sinologists, Dmitry Yefremov, China still can control its economy, but its capabilities are gradually diminishing.
"China will be able to maintain control over its economy if it can withstand pressure from the US. However, if not, a crisis may arise," emphasized Dmitry Yefremov.
Earlier, President Trump promised to impose new tariffs on Chinese goods. However, according to the expert, these tariffs will be introduced gradually, not immediately.
"The US understands that the Chinese economy is in a vulnerable state. It is growing, but has internal problems accumulating over Time. China currently controls the situation, but its capabilities to support balance are gradually diminishing. The US may focus on influencing China's internal economic stability. In this case, it is possible that Trump will again offer a deal to China, for example, discounts or concessions," said Dmitry Yefremov.
The expert noted that the likelihood of ending cooperation with Russia is low. However, any pressure on China could lead to a weakening of its economy. American entrepreneurs are already feeling these risks and reducing their presence in China, shifting investments to other countries more favorable to the US. This complicates the economic situation in China.
