Fuel Prices in Ukraine in 2025: Where is it Cheapest and Most Expensive?.

Fuel prices in Ukraine continue to rise even during the difficult period of war. Prices for gasoline, diesel fuel, and autogas vary depending on the region and market conditions.
Where is fuel cheapest?
The cheapest fuel can be found in regions with accessible logistics and high competition among gas stations:
-
Gasoline. In Kherson, Chernivtsi, and Vinnytsia regions, the price for gasoline is slightly over 56 UAH per liter.
-
Diesel fuel. The lowest price for diesel fuel is observed in Kherson, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
-
Autogas. Kharkiv region is the leader in affordability for autogas - 36.37 UAH per liter. Cheap gas can also be found in Mykolaiv and Sumy regions.
Such low fuel prices in these regions are explained by their proximity to refineries and optimal transportation costs.
Where is fuel most expensive?
The highest fuel prices are observed in remote or densely populated regions:
-
Gasoline. Expensive gasoline can be found in Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, and Donetsk regions, where the price exceeds 55 UAH per liter.
-
Diesel fuel. The highest price for diesel fuel is observed in Chernihiv, Donetsk, and Ternopil regions.
-
Autogas. Expensive gas can be found in Donetsk, Ternopil, and Chernihiv regions, where its price exceeds 38 UAH per liter.
High transportation costs, a limited number of gas stations in remote areas, and high demand are the main reasons for high fuel prices in these regions.
Why are fuel prices rising?
The reasons for the constant rise in fuel prices in Ukraine include global fluctuations in oil prices, exchange rates, and increased taxes and excise duties. Logistics costs and seasonal fuel demand also play a significant role.
