The head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine predicts the future of Russia and its army
In his interview, the head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, spoke about future predictions regarding Russia and its army after the war.
According to him, Russia does not plan to reduce its army after the war, as this does not align with its strategy.
First of all, they will not significantly reduce the number of armed forces. There are absolutely logical explanations for this. Primarily, they need such a number according to their strategy
The head of the GUR emphasized that currently, 50% of Russia's military budget is spent on payments for military personnel.
Right now, about 50% of the entire military budget is consumed by payments, military payments, one-Time payments to fighters, payments for signing contracts, final payments if one survives until the end of the contract, payments for injuries, payments for death, and so on.
The second part of the military budget is spent on purchasing ammunition, and the third part is for maintenance and repair of equipment.
When the war ends, all these payments cease, problems arise, and a huge budget is freed up. Therefore, there will be no reduction.
The head of the GUR responded to a question about the possible disintegration of Russia after the war, noting that such a process never happens in the world.
Earlier, Kyrylo Budanov explained what to expect from Russia at the negotiating table.
