Biden on the implementation of the G7 plan: it will be the Ukrainian people who win, not Russia.

US President Joe Biden announced a $20 billion loan to Ukraine, which will be repaid from the interest of frozen Russian assets. This decision is part of the G7 package worth $50 billion.
"Ukraine can receive the necessary assistance now, without burdening taxpayers. These loans will support the Ukrainian people in defending and rebuilding the country," Biden emphasized in his statement.
The European Union also approved the allocation of a loan to Ukraine of up to 35 billion euros. The decision will take effect after publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
Deputy National Security Advisor to the White House, Daleep Singh, noted that the US plans to divide its assistance into military and financial directions. "This is the first Time that a multilateral coalition is freezing the assets of an aggressor country and using their value to finance the defense of the affected party while respecting the rule of law and solidarity," he emphasized.
Great Britain also contributed approximately $3 billion.
"Russia will not win in this conflict. It is the Ukrainian people who will win. This is another reminder to Vladimir Putin that the world has united around Ukraine, and the United States and our G7 partners will continue to stand with them every step of the way," President Biden stated.
