65 oil tankers have stopped following new US sanctions - Reuters.

American sanctions forced many oil tankers to stop off the coast of Russia, China, and other locations. In particular, five tankers are moored near Chinese ports, while another seven have started anchoring near Singapore. Other vessels have stopped in Russia in the Baltic Sea and the Far East.
The US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on Russian oil companies 'Gazprom Neft' and 'SurКонтекстgebiet gas', as well as on 183 vessels carrying Russian oil. The primary aim of these measures is to limit the revenues that Moscow uses to finance the war against Ukraine.
Currently, 25 oil tankers are also anchored near Iranian ports and the Suez Canal. Some ports have already prohibited the reception of sanctioned vessels. Overall, about 10% of the world's fleet of oil tankers is subject to US sanctions.
The US has also imposed sanctions on companies, vessels, and individuals associated with the construction of the 'Nord Stream 2' gas pipeline. The sanctions list includes 11 Russian companies and 17 vessels.
These restrictions have significantly impacted the global oil market, especially in Asia, where sanctioned tankers delivered over 530 million barrels of Russian oil last year. India and China have already refused to accept sanctioned Russian oil tankers, which could lead to a collapse in the export of energy resources from the Russian Federation and heighten the country's economic isolation.
